What is facial liposuction?

Targeted removal of fat cells can create a slimmer face without cutting bone. Liposuction offers a short operation and quick recovery, improving facial contours without bone surgery. At DI Plastic Surgery, setting an appropriate correction goal for each person's condition is important.

are accurately assessed

Facial liposuction involves more than simply reducing face size. The internal anatomy—including nerves, salivary glands, muscles, and skin—must be understood before surgery. An experienced plastic surgery specialist helps support surgical safety.

DI Plastic Surgery precisely removes only the fat requiring correction, creating a smaller, slimmer face through tiny, concealed incisions to reduce scarring concerns.

Precautions After Facial Liposuction

Follow your surgical team’s individual instructions. Recovery and follow-up schedules vary.

  1. 01

    Washing and incision care

After taping is removed, cover the incisions with waterproof tape to keep them dry. After washing and removing that tape, dry the sutured areas thoroughly using a hairdryer on a cool setting.

  2. 02

    Swelling and bruising

Swelling and bruising may differ between sides and improve over time. Major swelling usually subsides over 1–2 weeks and residual swelling over 3–6 months, varying by individual.

  3. 03

    Prescribed medication

Take the medications prescribed after surgery.

  4. 04

    Compression garment

Wear the compression garment for about 12 hours daily for one to two months after surgery.

  5. 05

    Diet

A low-salt, low-fat diet is recommended to reduce swelling and control calories.

  6. 06

    Alcohol, smoking and heat

Do not drink alcohol or smoke for one month. Saunas and heated bathhouses are permitted after one month.
