IN THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE
The recovery journal
Adapted from Cheonga’s original account.
Before surgery

Wanting more contour and volume
Cheonga felt that her slim build left her face and body without the volume she wanted. Others did not always understand why this troubled her. After considering surgery for a long time, she decided to seek a change that would help her feel more confident.
2 weeks after surgery

Noticing the early changes
Pain after breast surgery had been her main worry. She reported some pain during the first two days, but less than she had feared. Although swelling after fat grafting had not fully settled, she was pleased to see changes in her face and body.
2 months after surgery

Feeling more like herself
As her swelling decreased, she reported returning comfortably to everyday activities. She had previously felt that her facial contours looked angular and uneven; people around her now described her expression as softer. She had also worried that breast implants would feel unfamiliar, but said that the result felt natural to her.
4 months after surgery

More comfortable and confident
At four months, she reported that her underarm incision scars had become less noticeable. She felt comfortable without the shaping underwear she had previously relied on. Busy with everyday life, she sometimes forgot about having had surgery and described a renewed sense of confidence.
