Before surgery
Hoping for a more refined appearance
Haneul enjoyed fashion and makeup, but felt that her appearance lacked something. She also wanted more volume in her very slim figure. She decided to consider surgery for a more refined facial appearance and fuller body contours.
2 weeks after surgery
The appearance she had hoped for
She had felt that her eyes looked constrained and was concerned about a long nose with a hump. After surgery, she felt closer to the look she wanted. She reported breast pain on the day of surgery and the following day, but found it tolerable. She also noticed a difference in how the same clothes fit.
2 months after surgery
A change in her overall impression
At two months, she described feeling confident both with and without makeup. She felt that relatively subtle changes to her eyes and nose had changed her overall appearance. She also enjoyed the difference in her figure when choosing clothes.
4 months after surgery
Feeling natural as recovery progressed
By four months, she described the result as feeling like her own. She reported that her breasts were comfortable to touch and that the underarm incision sites had become less noticeable. She was especially pleased with her more defined eyes and nose.
