Getting to follow-up safely
Public transport can be convenient before treatment, but crowded platforms, stairs and long walks may not suit early recovery. Ask the clinic whether a taxi or accompanied transport is preferable after your procedure. Do not drive after sedation or while taking medication that impairs alertness.
Allow extra time for traffic and building access. Wear clothing that does not press on the treated area and bring only essential items. If symptoms are worsening, contact the clinic before travelling so the team can advise whether routine follow-up or urgent care is appropriate.
Aftercare continues after Seoul
Before departure, confirm dressing or wound care, medication, bathing, sleep position, activity restrictions and the remote review schedule. Ask which photographs are useful and how to send them securely.
Keep a copy of the operation summary for your local doctor. DI can coordinate postoperative communication, but distance matters: severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, fainting, uncontrolled bleeding or another acute change requires local emergency assessment.
