Verify the surgeon’s specialist background, the planned facility, anesthesia provider, follow-up process and the clinic’s registration and communication arrangements for international patients. Have a consultation before committing to a non-refundable package or combining procedures.
Ask for a written estimate that explains the proposed procedure and what is included. Budget separately for flights, a flexible hotel, local transport, meals, medication, an accompanying adult if required and additional nights if recovery changes.
Medical information to prepare
Create a concise list of medical conditions, previous operations, allergies, medication and supplements, smoking or nicotine use and prior anesthesia problems. Bring relevant records and the previous operative note for revision cases. Do not stop prescribed medication unless the appropriate clinician tells you to.
Save the clinic address and contact details in both your phone and an offline note. Share emergency contact information and confirm how the team should communicate with you in your preferred language.
Packing for recovery
Choose loose front-opening clothing and shoes that are easy to put on. Pack charging cables, prescription medication in original packaging, basic toiletries and any clinic-approved supplies. Avoid buying unapproved scar creams, herbal supplements or devices in advance.
Use a small wheeled bag and arrange help with luggage if lifting will be restricted. Bring a payment backup, but protect passport, card and medical information; do not send full identity or payment details in an initial public web inquiry.
Seoul schedule
Keep the consultation, examinations, procedure and early follow-up as the fixed parts of the trip. Leave the remaining days quiet and flexible. Shopping, nightlife, spas, saunas, alcohol and strenuous sightseeing may conflict with recovery instructions.
DI is at 12F, Seosan Building, 441 Gangnam-daero, Seocho-gu. It is accessible from Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station. Confirm clinic hours, holiday closures and every appointment rather than relying on a map listing alone.
Before returning home
Ask the surgeon to confirm whether you are fit to travel. Obtain the procedure summary, implant or graft details when relevant, medication instructions, warning signs and the next follow-up plan. Check the airline and travel insurer’s rules.
After landing, continue the prescribed care and know where you would seek local medical attention. Routine remote follow-up does not replace urgent in-person evaluation for severe symptoms.

When contacting the clinic, tell us the procedure or concern you would like to discuss, your preferred language, whether you have had related treatment before and the dates you could visit Seoul. International patients may also wish to include their arrival and departure dates so the team can explain when an in-person consultation and follow-up may fit into the trip.
Please do not send passport numbers, payment information or complete medical records through an initial website inquiry. A coordinator can explain which health information or photographs are relevant and how they should be shared.
