Before surgery
Wanting to feel more confident
Saebyeok often wished that her unfiltered face could look like the photographs she took with a filter. Hollow cheeks and a square jaw were particular concerns. Although she already had double eyelids, she felt that the inner and outer corners made her eyes look constrained. She tried to compensate with heavier eye makeup, but was still dissatisfied.
3 weeks after surgery
Seeing her facial contours emerge
As the major swelling settled, she began to see more definition in her facial contours. She reported less pain than she had expected and felt that her eyes looked clearer after the forehead lift and canthoplasty. She was pleased with a change that felt natural to her and described growing confidence in her everyday appearance.

She recalled the team checking her comfort before and after surgery and providing attentive follow-up care. She felt that the result looked natural enough that some people did not notice she had undergone surgery unless she told them. She also felt more comfortable going out without makeup.
