Before surgery
Concerned about a severe expression
Sia had often been told that his facial shape and eyes gave him a stern appearance. He also felt that his nose looked small in proportion to his face; during consultation, he was told it was a short nose. He decided to proceed after discussing changes to his facial contours and overall impression.
2 weeks after surgery
Noticing the early changes
He reported some difficulty breathing through his nose on the day of surgery, but otherwise felt relatively comfortable. He said he had little swelling and thought his skin appeared better after fat grafting. By around one week, he described managing his daily activities and feeling pleased when others said his expression looked softer.
2 months after surgery
Comfortable showing his forehead
He had previously kept his hair down to cover a flat forehead. After surgery, he felt confident wearing it up and liked the difference in his appearance. He had worried that fat grafting might look excessive on him, but felt that the result matched the natural style he wanted.
3 months after surgery
Enjoying taking selfies
By three months, he had begun enjoying photographs and selfies, which had not interested him much before. He recalled being called a handsome student when someone asked him for directions, and said that the compliment made him feel good.
